Callan Jansen is a multi-media visual artist from Seattle, WA, currently studying under Mark Kang-O’Higgins in the Contemporary Drawing and Painting Atelier at Gage Academy of Art. Frequently traversing between the abstract and the surreal, Callan uses techniques such as automatic drawing to explore the subconscious; often depicting themes of interconnectedness in relationships and the ways in which the human body and the natural world reflect one-another, at times verging on body horror. They love bright colors and constantly experimenting with new art methods.
